Head of Content & Subscriptions (m/f/x)

Our startup, just six months old, sets out to provide Europe with a subscription service for the finest editorial texts from the most trusted journalistic sources. All in one place, translated into five languages, with excellent usability and innovative capabilities to search and discover, personalize and recommend engaging content, using state-of-the-art Natural Language (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies.
Starting as soon as possible, we are looking for a
Head of Content & Subscriptions (m/f/x)
to join our dynamic, distributed, interdisciplinary team.
Your tasks:
- Influencing product design and development, user experience and customer journey.
- Defining Kompreno’s platform content strategy.
- Leading our conversations with the most trusted publishers across Europe.
- Refining and implementing our innovative partner business model (B2B).
- Designing, validating and implementing our subscription models (B2C).
- Influencing our operating model and procedures at continental scale.
- Influencing the development of further services and expansions into new business areas.
We are looking for:
- Solid experience building digital editorial products, ideally from inside an established media organization.
- Broad knowledge across media business areas (e.g. content, subscriptions, services, sales, partnerships, usability, innovation).
- Excellent communication skills are a must (esp. English), strong language skills are a strong plus (esp. German, French, Spanish, Italian).
- A broad professional network in the publishing and digital media industry is desirable, with international relationship or experience an additional plus.
- Proven ability to work flexibly from anywhere as part of a distributed team.
- Hands-on, self-starting, can-do attitude, growth mindset.
